Our Community

The Yaoundé 1st District is one of the seven districts that make up the city of Yaoundé, the political capital of Cameroon. It covers an area of 68 km² and has over 300,000 residents spread across 16 neighborhoods.

Created by presidential decree, our district is committed daily to the well-being of its residents through infrastructure, education, health and social development projects.

Under the leadership of its Municipal Council, the district implements a policy of proximity aimed at bringing the administration closer to citizens and improving the quality of public services.
