Civil Registry

The Civil Registry issues birth, marriage and death certificates and other official documents related to major life events. Counter open Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Urban Planning & Construction

Processing of building permits, planning certificates and subdivision authorisations. Advice to individuals and developers for construction compliant with the district's urban plan.

Public Lighting

Maintenance, extension and modernisation of the public lighting network. 3,200 light points across the district, including 1,800 solar LEDs. Reports accepted 7 days a week.

Simplify your administrative paperwork

From June 2026, handle your routine requests from home, 24/7.

Civil Registry Services

Obtain your birth, marriage, death certificates and all civil registry documents with ease. Our team guides you through your daily administrative procedures.

EMPOWERING THE GIRL CHILD: A SPORTING AND CIVIC MARCH IN YAOUNDÉ 1st

On March 6, 2026, over 2,500 people marched through the streets of Yaoundé 1st during a sporting event dedicated to the empowerment of the girl child. Initiated by Mayor Jean Marie ABOUNA and attended by the Divisional Officer, this inclusive mobilization brought together young girls, local leaders, and people with disabilities around a shared ideal: making young women the pillar of a strong and prosperous community.

On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the Yaoundé 1st Town Hall hosted a pivotal seminar on sustainable waste management. FIGHT AGAINST INSALUBRITY: YAOUNDÉ 1st COUNCIL IN ACTION AT MBALLA 2

On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, under the instructions of Mayor Jean Marie ABOUNA, municipal technical services launched a major sanitation operation in the Mballa 2 neighborhood. The agenda included clearing illegal dumpsites and desilting the Tongolo River to prevent flooding and protect public health.
